Vintage trivet/hot plate featuring Gillette State Park, Hadlyme, Connecticut.
The trivet is tile with cast iron surround. It can be hung; it is also footed.
The front of the trivet has a color image of Gillette Castle State Park in Hadlyme, Connecticut with lettering above and below.
The back of the trivet has "Taiwan" engraved into the cast iron, and the back of the tile is embossed with "Cathay Tile" and a symbol above it. Below that is I-4.
I do not know the year of the trivet, but it pre-dates the time when state abbreviations were shortened to two letters, as this trivet uses "Conn" for Connecticut.
Trivet is in very good vintage condition, with some wear to the cast iron and some soiling and marks on back, which is unglazed. There is a scratch on the front, next to the "E" in Castle. Please see all images as they are part of the description.
