Approximately 8 inches in diameter, plate is white with red and blue accents. Black lettering around the plate reads:
"As we greet the year 2000, people from around the world break bread in Chicago, sharing their cultures, traditions and dreams.
Mayor Richard M. Daley Chicago December 31, 1999 "
The plate has a blue border. In the center is a red and blue abstract star shape with some red stars and a blue line under it. Under the line is
"Chicago Millennium Celebration"
This is surrounded by a red circle border.
On the back of the plate is the Bradford logo, The Bradford Exchange. Not for food use. Food consumed from this page may be harmful.
There is some light wear to the surface of the plate, and to the back. Some of the blue border is scratched and the white is visible under it. This is a very tiny area, top left of plate. No chips, cracks or crazing but there are some light scratches.
